Update brings iOS 9 compatibility, improved streaming and screen mirroring
NORTH CANTON, Ohio – November 13, 2015 – Squirrels LLC, a global leader in mirroring and streaming technology, today announced that its Reflector 2 screen-mirroring receiver is available on Android devices and Amazon Fire TV for the first time.
Reflector 2 for Android and Reflector 2 for Fire TV receive AirPlay connections to wirelessly display a real-time view of one or more iPhone, iPad or iPod touch screens on a Fire TV or Android device.
The launch follows the April 2015 release of Reflector 2 for Mac and Windows.
“Bringing Reflector 2 to Android and the Fire TV is a huge step forward from our old Reflector for Android software,” Squirrels co-founder Andrew Gould said. “We rebuilt the entire app for a better mirroring experience and added iOS 9 compatibility. We also used native Android media features for a quicker and much more enjoyable iOS-to-Android media-streaming experience.”
The new software core provides enhanced rendering and sharper mirrored images during mobile gameplay, app demos, movies or presentations to the big screen.
Reflector 2 for Android and Reflector 2 for Fire TV are available now as a free upgrade for existing Reflector for Android and Fire TV users. Reflector 2 for Android is available on the Google Play Store. Reflector 2 for Fire TV can be found on Amazon.
