AirParrot Remote by Squirrels LLC is now available for iPhone and iPad

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – March 14, 2016 – AirParrot Remote is a new iOS app that gives iPhone and iPad users control over what’s being mirrored or streamed from a Mac or PC to Apple TV, Chromecast and other receivers.

AirParrot Remote allows users to remotely control the AirParrot 2 desktop screen mirroring and streaming software used by more than 250,000 consumers worldwide. Users can select mirroring and streaming destinations, create playlists, view live desktop previews and control the mouse and keyboard on their computer, all from within the AirParrot Remote app.

“AirParrot 2 users have been requesting the ability to build playlists for media streaming,” Squirrels co-founder Andrew Gould said. “So we created a new app that allows you to do that from the couch. The AirParrot Remote app gives iPad and iPhone owners the power to create playlists from the files located on their computer.”

Why AirParrot Remote is important for AirParrot 2 users

Playlist support
Streaming songs and video files from a Mac or PC to an external receiver isn’t practical if you can only stream one file at a time. AirParrot Remote allows users to build media file playlists without ever touching a computer.

Remote control
AirParrot Remote lets users control their computer’s mouse and keyboard from their iOS device. This feature allows presenters, educators or professionals to open, click through and edit documents and presentations located on their computer from anywhere in the room.

Live desktop previews
The AirParrot Remote app provides users with a real-time view of a computer screen before they begin mirroring to an external device such as Apple TV, Chromecast or any Reflector-enabled device. This adds an element of control, allowing users to see what’s happening on a computer screen before mirroring.

In addition to Apple TV and Chromecast, AirParrot 2 users can mirror and stream their computer screens to any device running Reflector 2 for Android, including Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The AirParrot Remote app provides the same control features no matter which AirPlay or Google Cast receiver is used.

“Screen mirroring and streaming is meant to make sharing and displaying content between devices easy,” Gould said. “AirParrot Remote takes that one step further by allowing users to dictate what’s being mirrored or streamed in their office, classroom or living room without being near their computer.”

AirParrot Remote is available now in the App Store for $6.99. The AirParrot 2 desktop mirroring app is available for $12.99 from the Squirrels online store.
